Abstract:
A Bill to further amend the Maternity Benefit Act, 2016. The 44th session of Indian Labour Conference, has recommended for enhancing maternity leave under Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 from existing twelve weeks to twenty-four weeks; to extend the maternity benefits to “commissioning mothers†and “adopting mothers†; to facilitate ‘work from home’ to mother etc
