Abstract:
Examines the evidence for various explantions usually offered for the differences infertility behaviour across regions and over time in India. The data sets used in the study are National Sample Survey and Sample Registration System, the other using cultural characteristics from the Anthropological Survey of India. [Discussion Paper no. 2001/7].
