Restorative Care: Integral to Access to Justice

Abstract: Existing research on “access to justice†has shown how the understanding of the term developed as the human rights approach gained ground. The conventional notion of access to justice was limited to securing legal representation and ensuring due process of law. This included provision of affordable and accessible legal support to those who cannot afford it and are hence deprived of their right to be heard and fair trial in matters affecting them. [HAQCRC}
