Abstract:
Ranga Reddy district, where the present study is carried out is marked by low literacy rate and high concentration of child labour. M.V.Foundation adopted 16 Mandals of this district for the implementation of a programme aimed at elimination of child labour system and universalisation of primary education.This study is an effort to know about the girl’s work responsibilities in domestic and agrarian sectors and impact of girl’s entry into educational process on work sharing pattern in families. This study was conducted in 109 villages in 14 Mandals. This study is mainly exploratory in nature. The findings would have greater validity if the study were replicated on large sample.
