Abstract:
Violence against women is a universal phenomenon cutting across age, culture, caste, religion, and socio-economic status. It occurs in various forms, daily. Of these, domestic violence is almost ubiquitous and is socially and culturally accepted. It is an ongoing experience of physical, emotional, and/or sexual abuse faced by women within the household.
