Abstract:
The pharmaceutical industry in India has provoked much debate and sharp criticism, on account of its insensitivity towards the health needs of the Indian people. The vulnerability of the industry towards the manipulations of multinational corporation, has added another dimension to the discussion. The Government has been interfering with the working of the industry from time to time. [Working Paper No. 218]
