The Dance of Ideas: Dialectical Relationship between Feminism and Philosophy
Veena Poonacha
Working Papers from eSocialSciences
Abstract:
This paper attempts to delineate the dialectical relationship between feminism and philosophy, and begins by tracing the rise of feminist consciousness. This is because ideas do not exist in abstraction, but arise out of specific socio-economic contexts. The author then seeks to elaborate upon some of the internal tensions within feminist discourses.
