The Market for the Educated in Kerala

Chandan Mukherjee

Working Papers from eSocialSciences

Abstract: The most important section of the educated job seekers in the State of Kerala consists of those with educational attainment ranging from matriculation to the graduate level. As on 30th June,1973,this section constituted 92.6% of the total educated job seekers on the live registers of the employment exchanges in the State. As a considerable proportion of the job seekers in this section are found to be registrants of employment exchanges, data an these registrants can be expected to reflect fairly accurately the experiences of these job seekers.
