Abstract:
Economic development brings about, with rising national product and income per capita, certain broad changes in the structure of production and industrial distribution of the working force. It has long been recognized that owing to differences in income elasticity of demand for different groups of goods and services, increase in per capita income leads to increased demand for manufactured products and services of various kinds compared to agricultural products like food.
