Abstract:
This statement following a workshop on ‘Hunger and Health: An Interdisciplinary Dialogue attended by a cross-section of India’s nutritional scientists, health professionals, public health specialists, economists, agriculturists and grass root activists draws attention to the widespread hunger across many regions of the country and urges the government to recognise this fact and address its impact on health as an integral part of the developmental plan for the equitable and sustainable economic growth of our nation.
