Slower Growth in China: How Much of a Drag on the Global Economy?

Working Papers from eSocialSciences
Abstract:
China’s expected growth slowdown - from 10.3 per cent yoy in 2010 to 8.9 per cent this year and 8.3 per cent in 2012 - will impact the global economy. An in-depth look at how important China really is for the rest of the world. Also, potential speed bumpers ahead that might lead to lower-than-expected growth in China and an assessment of how this could in turn affect other major economies, commodity prices and financial markets is also done.
