Abstract:
The study focused on the factors and forces behind the participation of women in Panchayat Structure specially after the seventy third Constitution Amendment Act. The role performance, role awareness and role perception of the elected women Panchayats have been explored to understand the impact of socio-economic variables and legal impetus on electoral participation and the impact of such variables on attitudinal variables on political participation.
