Abstract: This Act ensures a prompt and just legal remedy for the victims of domestic violence; facilitate access to remedies for immediate and effective assistance, shelter homes and protection to the victims of domestic violence and to introduce measures which seek to ensure that the relevant organs of the State give full effect to the provisions of this Act.
