Abstract: This report entitled "Millennium Development Goals India Country Report 2015", which is the latest in a series of such reports since 2005, captures India's achievements and challenges in respect of the Goals and Targets set at the United Nations Millennium Summit held in September 2000 wherein 189 Heads of States, including India, pledged to adopt new measures in the fight against poverty, hunger, illiteracy, gender inequality, disease and environmental degradation.
