Abstract: The National Vaccine Policy document has been developed following the recommendation of National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI). This policy document addresses broad issues of strengthening the institutional framework, processes, evidence base and framework required for decision making for strengthening Universal Immunization Programme in India and to streamline the decision making process on new and underutilized vaccine Introduction. The document also aims to address the issues of vaccine-security, management, regulatory guidelines, vaccine research & development and product development.
