Abstract:
The present study is based on primary survey across 18 states of India by the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS), Delhi conducted between December 2013 and January 2014. The survey was conducted in 274 villages spread over 137 district of the country. The paper details the Indian Farmers: A Socio-Economic profile and prevailing farming practices in the country
