Report of the Sixty-Seventh World Health Assembly on WHO Global Disability Action Plan 2014–2021

World Health Organisation (who)

Working Papers from eSocialSciences

Abstract: This provides guidance on the draft action plan for better health to disable people. There are more than 1000 million people with disability worldwide, about 15% of the global population. The prevalence of disability is rising because of ageing populations and the global increase in chronic disease conditions, and is higher in low-income countries than in high-income countries. Disability disproportionately affects women, older people and poor people.
