Abstract: The Social Welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu has always ensured the welfare of the underprivileged sections of the society like destitute women, orphaned children, helpless senior citizens and the ostracized transgenders. The Social Welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme Department strives to achieve greater heights in its service to the underprivileged sections of the society in attaining social and economic equality.
