Abstract: Agriculture sector covers largest segment of livelihood and plays a significant role in the overall socioeconomic fabric of the nation.Tamil Nadu, through the Second Green Revolution, has initiated many path breaking initiatives at farm level which have resulted in enhanced agriculture productivity. The challenge ahead is now to broad base these initiatives to make the state agronomically the best in the country.
