Rethinking North Korea’s Denuclearization: Approaches and Strategies

Abstract: This paper represents a South Korean attempt to address the issue and to tentatively outline a roadmap of sorts according to which North Korea’s denuclearization can be achieved. The paper argues that it will be a complex and long-term endeavour whereby the international community must first create an “enabling environment†in which negotiations can more likely succeed.
