Abstract:
This study attempts to examine children's attitude to school and their experience of school, performance of children, mathematical ability of teachers and classroom process, as all these have bearing on the quality of education and the present study tries to fill the research gap and is confined to the state of Andhra Pradesh. The study mainly based on the school based component of Young Lives - an international study on childhood poverty which was started in 2001 with the goal of providing evidence for the reduction of childhood poverty
