Abstract:
This brief highlights a central problem the living and working conditions of migrants in the Gulf States. Finding work is what motivates nine out of every ten migrants worldwide. In the Middle East, 25 million migrants of Southern Asian origin are at high risk of exploitation. The SDC is making efforts to protect them by informing them of their rights and working for the application of international standards which guarantee decent working conditions.
