Abstract:
Malnutrition remains the world’s most serious health problem and the single biggest contributor to child deaths. It is time to restore the bridge between agriculture and health. FAO’s Member Countries and its development partners are calling for a more incisive analysis of the causes of persistent hunger and malnutrition, a better understanding of how they can be addressed, and practical action to ensure the nutrition, health and well-being of present and future generations. This paper is intended as a contribution to that discussion.
