Maria’s Dilemma

Kishor G. Bhat ()

Working Papers from eSocialSciences

Abstract: There was something bothering Maria. When Maria was younger, there was another man. It was all in the past, but she could never get herself to tell anyone. She did not see anything wrong. It was all in the past. Should she tell her friend now? She decided to write to Kant. Like a doctor diagnosing a patient’s ailment ,Immanuel Kant gave an ethical diagnosis expected Maria to be grateful to hear this. If she followed that which he prescribed, she would be better off. But was she?
