Working Papers from eSocialSciences
Abstract:
This paper examines the changing work profiles of women in the South Asian region, with all elements of contradictions, in terms of doubling their burdens or empowering them. Are the newer avenues for women’s employment created post economic reforms reflective of alterations in gender relations and suggest improvements in the socio-economic balances?
