Improving Transparency in Public Procurement in Bangladesh: Interplay between PPA and RTI Act

Abstract: This advisory note, while accepting the existing limitations of the transparency regime in public procurement process of the country, argues that the Right to Information (RTI) Act has the potential to perform as powerful 'proxy' to catalyse and bring about greater transparency in the procurement process.
