Reports and Studies from Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (U.S.)
Abstract:
The Electronic Fund Transfer Act requires the Federal Reserve Board (Board) to biennially publish data on costs incurred, and interchange fees charged or received, by debit card issuers and payment card networks. The Board conducted its first data collection in 2010, collecting data from payment card networks and issuers for calendar year 2009. The information from the first data collection assisted the Board in developing Regulation II and was included in a report published in June 2011. The second report, published in March 2013, summarized data for the calendar year 2011. The third report, published in September 2014, summarized data for the calendar year 2013. The present report is the fourth report in the series, and summarizes data for the calendar year 2015.
