The Housing Challenge
Tom Barkin
Speech from Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond
Abstract:
Talent availability has become critical for economic development. But we hear communities are struggling to meet that need because they lack housing. The key is more supply. To create that supply, communities need to own the problem, compete for developers, innovate in offering affordable land and lowering costs and engage with nontraditional partners.
