Abstract:
The purpose of this study, is to contribute to economics research capacity development in South Africa by informing AERC's institutional strategy. The study examines existing and planned research capacity, identifies priority macroeconomic research issues as perceived by the South African research and policy communities and recommends ways in which South Africa might be involved in AERC's research and training programmes.
