L'evolutionnisme de Friedrich Hayek: une double controverse revelatrice d'une double illusion

A. Leroux

G.R.E.Q.A.M. from Universite Aix-Marseille III

Abstract: For more than one decade, Hayek's theory of cultural evolution has been the object of a double controversy, with scientific and philosophical aspects. What is in discussion is nothing less than the existence of inner contradictions in the work of the Austrian Nobel prize winner. Apparently sterile and of mediocre quality, this double debate actually reveals a double illusion: the belief that the hayekian construction is of scientific or philosophical nature. Does it mean that Hayek's thought belongs to a third category: the ideological thought?
