Abstract: This Working paper provides an update of an earlier paper entitled "A Profile of Employment in the Agri-Food Sector" (WP No. 1-97). The previous paper covered the period from 1984-1995; in this paper information for 1996 and 1997 has been added. The information provided in this report is derived from a special tabulation of the Labour Force Survey and provides information on employment levels in the agri-food chain as well as the whole economy.
