Abstract:
This study focuces on the effect of education and work on the literacy of social assistance recipients, using the recent International Adult Literacy Survey. To get a clearer picture of the relationship among these three factors, the sample is restricted to ages 26 to 25, since many younger Canadians are still attending school.
