Abstract:
In this study, we attempted to answer the following quations: (1) To what extent did changes in premium rates and minimum earnings for the Unemployment Insurance Program, the Canada Pension Program, and the Quebec Pension Program have affected part-time employment in the 1980s? and (2) What effect did the criterion of hours workerd under the new Employment Insurance Program have on part-time employment?
