Abstract:
In this paper two types of tests are employed in investigating the convergence trends of real per capita government spending in Canadian provinces. Some signs of simple convergence were detected, with the growth of federal spending being larger in por than in rich provinces, and with Quebec benefiting marginally more than rich provinces.
