Empirical Tests of Agency theory in South Africa

Abstract: This paper sets out an alternate test of an agency problem and then investigates how that problem is managed. The remainder of this paper contains six sections. The fist sectuion is an introduction. The second section sets a potential for the agency problem in South Africa. The third section contains a test for the existence of the agency problem. The forth section sets out how this problem can be managed. Research method and discussion of results follow. Finally, conclusions are draw.
