Abstract:
This paper presents new models and methodologies for the assessment of innovative urban transport systems and policies options. The dynamic traffic model METROPOLIS (used here in the framework of the EC project AIUTO) estimates the impact of a set of transport demand management measures on the city of Geneva. This paper investigates the insights that can be brought by dynamic traffic models when used in a medium-term planning.
