Mediation: The Process and the Issues

Abstract: The alternative dispute resolution movement arose to provide more efficient and less expensive methods of setting disputes than are provided by the court system. This study focuces on one of these methods-mediation. The authors outlines the key elements of a successful mediation process, the advantages and disadvantages of mediation, and its often benefical effect on the relationship between the parties.
