Degeneracy in Data Envelopment Analysis

Abstract: This paper explores the existence of multiple solutions in the ratio formulation of Data Envelopment Analysis, and the related problem of degeneracy in its envelope formulation. It is argued that the envelope formulation is inherently degenerate.
