Abstract:
Although a relatively large number of interpretive case studies have been published, concerned with understanding how accountimg is percieved and used by practitioners, there are virtually no published case studies using interprative methodologies to assist the development and design of practical resource management information systems. This paper is a contribution to such research and describes an action research project which evaluates a new methodology for the development of a comprehensive resource management system, incorporating service management, performance and costing information, to support the prevision of services to an Elderly Care Group.
