Abstract: Considering the diversity of definitions and understandings of some concepts related to sustainability and its importance in the context of the supply chain, the main objective of this paper is to clarify andpropose a conceptual framework to help clarify the concept of supply chain sustainability. Based on a comprehensive literature review, different perspectives and ideas are considered for understanding the meaning of supply chain sustainability. Also, the main differences between some concepts that have been used interchangeably with the meaning of sustainability are pointed out. In the proposed framework, a focus on the triple bottom line approach and the supply chain stakeholders’ expectations at intra and inter-organizational levels are considered. Framework.
