Finance and investment in the Eurozone
Giovanni Cozzi ()
No 14295, Greenwich Papers in Political Economy from University of Greenwich, Greenwich Political Economy Research Centre
Abstract:
This chapter reviews some of the core constraints that have developed in the Eurozone on investment and growth as a result of the shift towards economic liberalism. The chapter also advances some alternative policies for promoting growth and investment. The chapter starts with a review of the impact of financial liberalization on investment and growth in the Eurozone and of the Eurozone fiscal policy stance on investment and growth. In light of this background, Cozzi puts forward some progressive economic policies for growth and investment in the Eurozone.
