Abstract:
The present paper provides an economic analysis of the industrial development model Polo Industrial de Manaus (PIM) using the Principal Component Analysis technique to group several variables according to their variation and similarity with the purpose of constructing indicators of Manaus' socioeconomic performance and Performance of the PIM for the period 2002 to 2015. The results show that there is a strong positive association between the Indicator for Income and Primary Health Care and the PIM performance. In contrast, the PIM activity did not contribute to the Indicator for Education and Sanitation.
