Abstract: The report declines the comparison of the modes of work-family conciliation between France and Quebec, through five topics: the relationship between fertility and the female activity (major stake of the development of our societies), the panorama of the modes of conciliation (the state of the practices, possible perverse effects), the conciliation as a strategy of employment (operational stake, pratico-policy of the conciliation), the role of the intermediate actors (institutional methods of the production of the gouvernance), and the recombining of the modes of Welfare state ("good practices " of the actors, possible tracks and levers as regards conciliation).
