Abstract:
Joint production and general equilibrium theory As it invalidates the Non-Substitution Theorem the joint production assumption was bound to create some problems for NeoRicardian theory. Our aim is to show that most of the paradoxes encountered in this approach disappear if one is willing to accept the principles of General Equilibrium Theory. We show how a long run stationary equih'brium can be defined and determined and we analyze its properties. The only paradox attached to joint production is the possibility, outside the Golden Rule, of an increasing factor- price- frontier.
