Abstract: The future of independent work will partly depend on its subjective and affective conditions. This paper proposes the affective portraits method as way to inform prospective exercises including those dimensions. Inspired by the turn-to-affect, interviews, with an adapted distribution of the sensible, give raise to portraits that highlight some affective problematics as potential weak signals of future independent work condition.
