Abstract: This textbook gives a thorough insight into the discipline of knowledge engineering, which is concerned with the development of knowledge based system using this term in a broad sense ie as well as building index or building knowledge books. This book is intended for practitioners and students in information system engineering as well as in knowledge and information management. Through 21 papers of 18 pages, it will give a good overview on recent knowledge engineering research. Mots of these research results are founded on a concrete application implemented and working in a organisational and situated context. Such an approach provides assurance that these proposed advances are useful and realistic.
