Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to test, thanks to knowledge production function, the spatial dimension of spillovers inside public networks. Spillovers from public research are seen as less submitted to spatial constraint than private spillovers. This paper studies if geographic proximity is a necessary condition to spillovers diffusion or if exchanges inside cooperative network can allow this transmission too. The results show that spillovers flows freely through relations of co-operation inside public network, without suffering from spatial constraint.
