La résistance des espaces viticoles à l'extension urbaine: le cas du vignoble périurbain de Bordeaux

Abstract:
Because exurban areas have outpaced urban and suburban areas in population growth during the last decades, growth pressures are commonly observed at the rural-urban fringe. However, the existence of a high quality vineyard questions traditional spatial structuring mechanisms. The case of Bordeaux vineyard, at the heart of the metropolitan area, is well adapted for the analysis of issues on the interaction between urban growth and wine spaces dynamics. The hedonic prices model of parcels sale confirms the vineyard's resistance to urban development.
