Abstract: While a growing body of literature has examined and demonstrated a direct influence of the adoption of eco-control on organizational performance, little is know about how this influence is operationalized within the organization. Building on Natural Resource-Based View, the aim of this study is to open this black box and examine the potential of the ecocontrol to foster environmental capabilities and to analyze its impact on environmental and economic performance of the organizations.
