Abstract: This study extends earlier research on corporate governance by examining whether ownership structure, board characteristics and employee representation on the board have an effect on the analyst forecast accuracy. Using panel data from French firms for the financial years 2002-2007, we find that the quality of financial reporting is negatively related to the independence of the board. We also find that the employee representation on the board reduce the accuracy of analysts forecasts. However the results reject the hypothesis of expropriation.
